SmallRig Dummy Battery Power Cable for D-Tap for Sony NP-FW50 6538 is easy to install and use. By connecting to an external power source, such as a V-mount battery, through the D-Tap interface, it provides continuous power to the camera, reducing the need for frequent battery changes and ensuring a smooth, efficient workflow during video recording, livestreaming, and other extended shooting scenarios.
A built-in smart display screen shows input voltage and power status in real time. When the input voltage is above 13.0V, the green indicator stays on to show sufficient power. When the voltage drops below 13.0V, the red indicator provides a low-power warning. If the D-Tap connector is inserted in reverse, no voltage will be displayed, and reverse-connection protection will be triggered. Reconnect the cable in the correct direction to restore normal operation.
Featuring an upgraded chip, it delivers seamless camera compatibility without warning messages. The dummy battery is molded to the dimensions of the original battery for smooth installation and removal. It also includes multiple safety protections, including overvoltage, overheat, overcharge, and short-circuit protection, and features a flame-retardant ABS housing for safe, reliable long-term use.
