SmallRig Wireless Video Repeater for Cameras 5566 is designed to lower the barriers to professional wildlife photography, a field traditionally reliant on long telephoto lenses. It enhances shooting success by minimizing intrusion to subjects and reducing physical strain on the photographer. Users can operate from a distance, avoiding harsh environments and eliminating the need for concealment, while maintaining a connection to monitoring devices (smartphones / tablets) via a shared Wi-Fi network. With optional 2.4G / 5G bands and a remote control range of up to 500m / 1640ft, the hub extends operational capabilities.

Compatible with cameras from Sony, Canon, Nikon, Panasonic, DJI, and Insta360, it leverages dedicated manufacturer apps for seamless remote control, including focus adjustment, zoom, photo / video switching, and parameter tuning, all with real-time monitoring. This capability dramatically reduces the photographer's presence, minimizing stress on wildlife to capture authentically natural content. It also streamlines the creative process by eliminating the need for prolonged concealment in extreme temperatures or hazardous surroundings. The repeater supports both single-camera (one-to-one) and multi-camera (one-to-many or many-to-many) workflows using one or multiple monitoring devices, and enables on-demand recording to optimize battery life and preserve storage space.

Multiple 1/4"-20 threaded holes (on the top, bottom, and sides) accommodate SmallRig accessories such as the power bank holder (ID 2790) and mini V-lock mount plate (ID MD2801B), ensuring uninterrupted power from power banks or V-mount batteries.

Note:

1. Always read the user manual before use and configure your camera settings before shooting.

2. When switching from DJI / Insta360 devices to digital cameras, press and hold the reset button on the side of the repeater for 5 seconds. No reset is needed when switching back from digital cameras to DJI / Insta360 devices.

3. For DJI devices: First connect and activate the 5G WiFi via Bluetooth using one smartphone, then connect a second smartphone to the 5G WiFi network and link it through the DJI app.

4. This product is not waterproof - take precautions against rain and moisture during outdoor use.

5. For more stable communication, position the repeater in an elevated location free from obstructions.

6. WiFi connection range varies by camera brand and model, with newer cameras generally offering stronger communication capabilities and longer remote control distances.
